Star Wars: The Force Unleashed My hype rating: 5 out-of 5 The next installment to the Star Wars saga, The Force Unleashed is the bridge between the gap of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It is known as the "dark times", which is the reference towards the empires rise over the republic, going across the galaxy enslaving multiple worlds, and Vader's search for the last of the Jedi. In the game, you play as Vader's secret apprentice, who has been trained in secret, under the emperors nose. (But, I believe that the emperor knows the whole time.) Vader uses his apprentice to go out on top secret missions of the up most importance to him. Mainly out to eliminate the last of the known remaining Jedi. The missions are very long and and have alot of interation with the surroundings. Almost anything can be turned into a weapon. As you run through the game, you can play a many different ways. You can either run in and cut down everything that moves, attack from a distance using your force powers, or use a mix of both, etc. As you progress, you will gain points from doing different things; such as killing your enemies. And with these points, you can spend on new techniques, increases your force powers strength and so on, to better suit your fighting style. The game also includes multiple endings, wach depending on your actions in the game. From what I have discovered, you can either end the game as a re-enlightened Jedi, or end it as a Sith. But, that does not mean there are only two endings. I believe that there is also a non-canon ending. And what I think will happen in it, is the secret apprentice will defeat Vader and Sidious; becoming the new Dark Lord of the Sith. But, we'll find out once the game is released.

Thank you. Now, let me get into the reall review now that the game has been released. First I would like to note though that I was the first person in my town to get a hold of the game! ;D
Anyways. The gameplay is perfect for this type of game. Alot of people complain about the camera not working right, saying that it sucks. Well, all I have to say is that they must have any sense of hand eye cooridination, because I have never had a problem with it. It's just like all the other action adventure rpg types. It dosent move too fast or too slow. It's in that just right speed. Also, your abilities are balanced out quite well. Every force power takes up the right amount of energy, so you dont feel over powered. The lightsaber combat is just EPIC; especially in the duels against Jedi's and other melee combat type enemies.
The sound is just perfect. You have the great musical score by John Williams that fits perfectly in every scene and level. The sound effects make you feel as if you were really there. I only wish I had a surround sound system! There is one glitch with the sound though. But, it happens VERY RARELY. When you use Force Throw, to throw your lightsaber, sometimes you will hear the sound of your lightsaber spinning after you have already caught it. Bu, it only goes on for as long as a minute.
The graphics, and enviornments are just breath taking. I stopped just to look around on the planet Felucia because it felt so real.
Cinematics: I felt like I was watching one of the classic episodes. The acters who playd the roles of all the characters were apparently the rights ones to pick from. In most scenes, I was just drawn into the scene, losing touch with reality. And on some scenes, I was shocked, holding my hand over my mouth for entire scenes; some of which last around 10 minutes long!
The story of this game is really sad though. You can really feel the pain of some characters here.
I have to say, that this game should be turned into a movie. George should really consider this because it dosent have the feel of any of the newer movies that alot of people disliked. I liked them though. But thats beside the point. This game took me five and a half hours on normal difficulty. So, thats about the equivilant of two movies. And in this game ,there is a breaking point in the middle, where they could end the first movie, and start the second.
Anyways, my personal score for this game is gonna gave to be a 10 out of 10. Others may think differently, but, they have that right. So, there you go. If you have any questions about this game, I will be happy to answer.
Oh, and so far I've only finished with the alternate ending. I was hoping to get the canon ending, but I did one thing thinking it was the right thing to do... but, I made the wrong decision and changed history forever.

I swear, this games story is just so strong, that not only does it top the prequal trilogy (even though I love them), but they should seriously think about making it into a two part trilogy. Which they have considered !!! I believe that the first movie should end right after Vader betrays you, and sends you off to form a rebellion to distract the Emperor. And then start the second one in the Cantina where you find Kota. It's right in the middle and right at the turning point of Marek's affiliation and trust for Vader.

I rented the game on Xbox 360 and thought it was good overall. It feels more like a beat-em-up game than an action game, considering 10 - 20 enemies can come out and gang up on The Apprentice all at once. The graphics are some of the best on the console.
